OpenAI is embracing rival Anthropic’s commonplace for connecting AI assistants to the programs the place knowledge resides.

In a post on X on Wednesday, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that OpenAI will add assist for Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol, or MCP, throughout its merchandise, together with the desktop app for ChatGPT.
