Diego Luna returns as Cassian within the forthcoming second season of Andor.
The primary season of Andor, the Star Wars prequel sequence to Rogue One and A New Hope, earned important raves for its gritty aesthetic and multilayered narrative rife with political intrigue. Whereas rankings had been a bit sluggish, they had been ok to win the sequence a second season, and Disney+ simply dropped the primary action-packed teaser trailer.

As previously reported, the story begins 5 years earlier than the occasions of Rogue One, with the Empire’s destruction of Cassian Andor’s (Diego Luna) homeworld and follows his transformation from a “revolution-averse” cynic to a significant participant within the nascent revolt who’s prepared to sacrifice himself to avoid wasting the galaxy. S1 left off with Cassian returning to Ferrix for the funeral of his adoptive mom, Maarva (Fiona Shaw), rescuing a good friend from jail, and dodging an assassination try. A post-credits scene confirmed prisoners assembling the firing dish of the now-under-construction Dying Star.
In keeping with the official longline, S2 “will see the characters and their relationships intensify because the horizon of conflict attracts close to and Cassian turns into a key participant within the Insurgent Alliance. Everybody might be examined and, because the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will grow to be profound. “
